A New York-based 501c3 nonprofit

creating a community of connection

Our Mission

pRYEde Community Group (“pRYEde”) advocates for equity and inclusion; celebrates the diversity of our community; engages in educational programming; and strengthens sense of belonging for all, especially for those who hold minoritized identities. pRYEde began with a focus on supporting Rye’s LGBTQ+ community members, and has broadened its focus to include the multitude of minority identity groups as defined by race, ethnicity, nationality, language, religion, disability status, and beyond. Through partnerships with established Rye organizations and stakeholders, pRYEde Community Group  develops and promote diverse, inclusive, and equitable programming and events in Rye. We stand with the goal to make ALL groups and individuals feel heard and supported. pRYEde Community Group is guided by “3 C’s” - Connection, Collaboration, and Community building. The ongoing achievement of these objectives will lead to a greater sense of safety within Rye where ALL have the space to thrive. We believe that the opportunity to engage with difference - for youth and adults alike - leads to greater empathy, understanding and kindness.
